Corinthian Royal Guard

The Corinthian Royal Guard Helmet is an ancient Greek helmet that was worn by elite soldiers of Corinth. It was made of bronze and covered the whole head and neck, leaving only slits for the eyes and mouth. It also had a large, curved projection at the back to protect the nape of the neck. The helmet was decorated with brass ornaments and a plume or mane of animal hair, usually horse or lion. The helmet was designed to provide maximum protection and intimidation but also limited the vision and hearing of the wearer. The Corinthian helmet was one of the most iconic symbols of ancient Greek warfare and culture.
